Would I be mad to ring the kennels and check the dogs ok?

They have my number so they'd ring if there was a problem wouldn't they?

Its only his second time there. Last time for a weekend and this time for 9 days. I'm worrying he thinks I've abandoned him.

I might ring tomorrow then. I'm sure they'll say he's fine even if he is miserable but it'll make me feel a bit better.

Ring, they won't mind Smile

I always ring to check mine are ok - the kennel hands are used to it and don't mind at all. Smile

I was really worried about my pup when we left him with our older lad in May. It was his first time and he's nervous of other dogs, but he actually loved it. We turned up to collect them unannounced, they took us straight down to his kennel and they both looked really relaxed and clearly very fond of the head kennel hand. It was such a relief after worrying about them all weekend and has really put my mind at rest for future stays.

I get them to send me a photo so I know my boy is happy! ??

Mine pre-empts me by osting photos of giddlydog lounging on the sofa on her facebook page - but it's a home boarding setup.

Well I rang and they said he's fine.

Now of course I'm worrying that they'd just say that anyway. Grin
