Just fetched him home Grin I think I've completely forgotten how small a gap puppies can get into, especially one this tiny!

He's a Jack Russell. He's been so good today, only one little poo accident in the house so far! He's currently asleep on the rug making little snuffle noises, which is making my other dog do that tilting head from side to side thing Grin

Had a much better than expected first night with little Bandit :) He slept from 11pm til 3.30am in his crate at the bottom of my bed with no accidents whatsoever! Woke me up yelling at 3.30, went out for a wee, then slept til 6am. Taken him outside this morning and he's done a wee and a poo and looked very proud of himself! He's had a play with a very excited ds, and is now back in his crate eating his breakfast whilst we potter about getting ready. We've got an appointment at the vets at 10 for his first vaccination and I've got to pop into work for an hour this afternoon, so hoping he doesn't scream the place down in my absence, although he seems quite happy in his crate so we shall see!

Gorgeous! You'll soon have bits of thread from that toy all over the house - our labrador puppy made it her mission to shred hers until it completely disintegrated.....

Yay! You picked my suggestion :o

Grin

He was pretty good when I left him this afternoon; I bought some spray meat flavoured Kong filler stuff from the vets, as she sprayed it on the table to distract him while he was being jabbed and it's like doggy crack that stuff! I filled his little Kong and he didn't even notice I went out. I set up the iPad to record him, and once he'd finished his Kong, he realised I was missing, screeched for about 10 minutes, then went to sleep!

We had a couple of little accidents today, largely due to me not concentrating on pup when ds was home, but he's not soiled his crate at all, and is largely managing to go outside. He's such a little sweetheart :)

Well 5 days into having new puppy and we had our first full nights sleep last night, which is far better than I ever imagined it would be! He's not yet messed in his crate and is making it outside 90% of the time. He's such a good boy Grin

He looks lovely.:)
Did the collie find a home in the end?

JulietBravoJuliet · 27/06/2014 15:02

The collie is with my friend at the minute and I may well be taking him when I move house in a month or so. The owners had refused to let me have him as they didn't want him going to a hone with a child hence why I agreed to have the pup, then my friend went and fetched him to save him from being PTS. He doesn't really get on too well with her dog though but she's said she will persevere for a whole. I can't have three dogs in this house as it's just not big enough, but I've said I'll take him when I move if he's not settled with her by then.
