I've been giving our 4 month old ice cubes to chew, especially as she's teething. Is there any truth in this or is it the usual dodgy scaremongering?

Not a vet but trained as a vet nurse, we commonly used to put ice cubes inn dogs water if they were trying to gulp it too quickly and make themselves ill so no - no truth in it.
