DDogs are not allowed on the sofa.

However, LurcherBoy is very frightened of loud bangs and tonight next door are having a hell of a fireworks display.

Poor chap was so shakey we let him up with us. Look at the smile!!

What makes your DDog smile?

Running off leash in a secure field!

PersonalClown · 14/06/2014 23:15

Doodle- Food.

Staff- free ranging at full speed across the field.

Leaping suddenly out of the long grass at me - he then jumps up to bang into my knees which is quite clearly a 'BOOM BOOM' moment.

I should explain that he is exceptionally short so the appearing like a tiny missile out of the long grass is a total surprise on frequent occasions.

Being outside in the sunshine.

That made me laugh joan

I remember watching a friend walk her visla in a field of corn. Could see friend from chest up at all times. Saw visla every few steps as she boinged in the air!

KiaOra Grin

Pointies have the best smiles ever! Grin

My own Lurcherboy has the huge and very obvious smile whenever he's free-running and a different, sort of contented one for when he's lying stretched out in the living room getting a belly-rub.

Pip, the younger of my two Lurchers, has several different smiles. A totally wired manic one for during and immediatley after crazy puppy zoomies this one is usually accompanied by norty, ears fur sticking up in all directions and tongue lolling comically out of is mouth. Grin A contented, cute puppy one for when he's having snuggles and finally a very particular grin, combined with a look of utter delight and jubilation that's reserved for pelting at full speed across fields. Grin

My lurcher does huge grins - when the postlady comes (she has a picket full of dog biscuits), but saves his best for our cleaner who he adores and spends an hour grinning at

My dog isn't much if a smiler- being a Basset hound, sad is more her look, but she's happiest curled on my lap, for all her miserable eyes, I swear there's a whisper of a smile lying there pretending she can fit on my lapGrin
