Concise crate training advice

As above- please could someone explain crate training (esp for overnight) or link to a clear explanation. I'm seeing a lot of variations. For my DH. Tia.

Look up Susan Garrett crate games on YouTube. Otherwise search on the Facebook advice page. Sally Bradbury does an excellent explanation of overnight.

Maybe i am being stupid but what is the difference between ordinary crate training and overnight training?
