Noticed a shiny raised patch 3 days ago, which has come up in about half a dozen or so little heads.

I just had this patch between my finger and thumb showing dh when she moved her head and a couple of them shot out what first looked like little black thorns!Shock

On closer inspection they are little clumps of about 5 fine hairsShock

Obviously I will take her to the vets tomorrow, but wondered if anyone else had any advice? Have bathed with salt water for now.

Sounds like folliculitis, my dog had it in adolescence. It was either he outgrew it, antibiotics, or changing to a raw diet that sorted it.

Definitely a vet visit required.

And mine is a lab too.

Er, is it whiskers?

my dog has this. Somehow he pulls his whiskers out and it leaves little shiny bumps

HavantGuard · 28/05/2014 23:19

Ignore me, you said fine hairs Blush

Hmm. Definitely a vets visit tomorrow then.

She's just been spayed (3 weeks ago) so am hoping she hasn't picked up something nasty at the vets.
