my dog keeps zig zagging behind me. what does it mean?

In fact she get so close she keeps nosing the back of my knees!

I am getting some right funny looks

She's found where the visiting toddler hid the stilton crumbs 4 weeks ago (down the back of your boots)

Is she a sheltie mix? They can herd in this way.

Mine does this and goes through my legs from behind. I have always wondered why.

Our dog does this when she is doing a wee. She will walk along in a zig zag wee-ing, it's really embarrassing.

Spicypear! She could well be a sheltie mix as I have been asked by loads of different people if she is crossed with one because if her colouring and she is quite petite for a border collie.

And we once met an old lady in the vets with a sheltie and her dog talked to mine apparently, and she only ever talked to other shelties so this lady decided she must be crossed with one :o

She's gorgeous owl! I'm putting my money on sheltie being in the mix there.

I had a sheltie/whippet years ago - she didn't do the zig-zagging, at least I don't recall it, but we're talking over 20 years - but she was very similar in the face to your girl.

My mum's collie has always rounded us up when we are out walking by nudging our calves with his teeth!

my sheltie dosent do this but she will nip your ankles if you are running about and will chase and try to bite your butt on the zipwire at the playground
it really hurts if she gets you right on your ankle bone, typical herding behaviour
