Rescue Centre Recommendations

Hi

We're hoping to re-home a dog - most likely a cocker spaniel type.

Can anyone recommend a reputable rescue centre in the East or South-East of England?

Many thanks!

Pro-Dogs Direct (London & South East) www.prodogsdirect.org.uk/#/dogs/4564213851
Ravenswood Pet Rescue (Wishbech, I think) www.ravenswoodpetrescue.co.uk/animalmenu.php?species=1
Lea Valley Dog Rescue www.leavalleydogrescue.co.uk/
Heathlands Animal Sanctuary (Hertfordshire) www.heathlands.org.uk/index.php?pageid=2

I don't have personal experience of getting a dog from them, but they're the ones I have heard of in the areas. Websites are not always updated quickly, so if possible "like" all the Facebook pages, dogs are often posted on FB and never reach the website pages.

Thank you! I'd come across Lea Valley before but not the other 3.

If you have a particular breed in mind I would suggest going to a breed rescue first. Some will not have centres but rather a network of fostered. I can't help with spaniel rescue as they're not my breeds but I'm sure there will be reputable ones re homing regionally and nationally.
