Anyone feed a raw, or partially raw, diet...?

I saw a programme I recorded (The Truth about Your Dogs Food) and it reiterated various things I suspected might be the case with a lot of processed dog food. While I thought the people who fed their dogs a vegan diet were quite ridiculous, I do like the idea of feeding my dog a raw if not just partially more diet. We currently feed our border collie Wagg mainly because the otherbrands caused her skin to itch and somebody recommended it to us. I have since read that it's not one of the best however we usually mix the biscuits with other things, such as leftover chicken.
However. I am liking the sound of going more raw and perhaps ditching biscuits altogether. Anyone have much experience of this...?
Thanks!

Thanks again! Can I just join this one fb 'group' without having to do the whole 'competitive friends' thing? Am off to bed now - not being rude if no reply Grin.

You can use fb however you choose but your main problem is that you would need to set up a profile. It is easily got round mind you. You can call your profile whatever you want so I'd just avoid using your real name so you aren't recognised and put in a position of feeling guilty for not 'adding'friends.

fanoftheinvisibleman, love the photo of your BT, I have one that could be his twin :)

We swapped to raw food in January and it has given our 6 year old dog a new lease of life. His coat is softer and shinier and his temperament is much calmer. He was very difficult to control before and the diet change was suggested as a way of helping with his fear aggression/ chasing tendencies. It has really helped.

We don't feed any processed dog food or treats at all and we make his food from raw minced chicken and turkey, chicken livers, eggs, carrots and green vegetables (usually I whizz up kale, zucchini, celery, spinach... whatever is in the fridge!) We also add cooked brown rice but wait until it is cold before mixing it in or it starts to cook the meat. We also give raw bones about 3 times per week.

This is my raw fed Border Collie who is 8 months old. I feed Natural Instinct complete and a 1kg pack (£2.50) lasts about three days. They say that their ribs should feel like your knuckles when your hand is flat, IYSWIM.
He does very small poos about 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.
