Has anyone else watched the CBBC Meet the Pups programme?

Is it just me that gets fed up with the constant reference to dominance theory and hierarchy?

The programme itself is lovely, the narration funny and the pups ridiculously cute, but it's infuriating me so much that they are teaching the next generation of dog trainers outdated and scientifically disproven dominance theory.

I have just watched the whole series on catch-up with my dcs (11, 9 and 5) and they were all shouting at the tv with me every time he mentioned pack structure and position!

Meh, it was super cute and interesting for people with no experience of dogs.

I don't think many people will start a dog training business based only on what the learnt on Meet the Pups when they were young enough to watch CBBC.

I didn't mean professional dog trainers, I mean children who will grow up to have dogs of their own. Not to mention their parents who, if considering a pup, may believe what they see on the TV.

I just think it was so unnecessary for them to use outdated information when there is so much more up to date and reliable information readily available.
