So flaming angry with this ad, I know it'll do no good but need to rant

Free to good home 5 month old puppy, good with kids as have two of my own just not not time for her

Then a load of replies feeling sorry for her and saying I'll take her then take you ad down evil people use dogs like this for baiting.

No why did you get a puppy in the first place if you don't have time for her? What did you expect? Cute little puppy now is 5 months growing fast and needing training oh we don't have time so let's just put it on the Buy and Sell pages of FB.

Chances are they'll have another cute puppy in a years time.

People like this make my blood boil, I know there's so many of them about I know it won't change anything but argh!!!!!!

Christmas leftovers :(

We rehomed a dog like this. It took us about 18 months and loads of behaviourists/trainers/whisperers... to get him on track. He is a fantastic and able dog. Just brilliant. I don't know if we do him justice. I think I know.... A new trainer.... for another unwanted dog. Yes, it's bloody awful. The ones who find proper homes are perhaps the lucky ones. They are the icing on the cake.

Just really annoys me don't have the time for her?! No you cannot be bothered about her.

I have 4 children and a puppy, puppy is very hard work at times but I knew this and prepared for it !

I joined a few of those facebook selling pages looking for accsessories for my bunnies and I'm shocked at the amount of puppies only a few month old that are being sold on. One I saw was only 14 weeks and the reason for sale: "I don't have time for him". So sad.
Other excuse I've seen "landlord won't let us have pets." Didn't you check first??
It's too easy to buy pups on a whim.

We saw our lab on FB. Her (2nd) owner had become ill and her daughter put the dog on Facebook as she needed rehoming within a few days due to an impending hospital stay.

Dh knew the family, and I couldn't bear to think what might happen to an 18mo unspayed lab bitch sold for a few pounds on Facebook.

She is beautiful, and we haven't regretted getting her for a moment, but have since found out her first owner had her for a mere 4 months before rehoming her because she chewed a couple of shoes.

So sad. We have become our unofficial local rehoming centre* for unwanted hamsters and guinea pigs, but I have had to stop that now, or I'll in a position where I can't take care of everyone! (In that my neighbours keep giving me their furry rejects.)

I am so fed up with hearing people say, 'I bought a hamster/gerbil/rabbit/puppy for my children and they don't take care of it. I need to rehome it.'

Of course they don't take care of it - they can't care for themselves, never mind another living creature!

And breathe.

I have recently been removed and blocked from my local FB selling page for commenting once too many times on posts like these. So many poor dogs (and cats) being got rid of because "I haven't the time". And it's funny how many people have new jobs, or babies who are allergic...

horrible. We purposely left getting a puppy til my DCs were teenagers as I knew I wouldn't cope - plus I wanted to give puppy the attention and time he deserves. I know lots of people cope with young DCs and a pup but you should know if you are the sort of person who would cope or not shouldn't you?
