I have a min poodle
I prefer the natural look and she gets a farm type clip regularly but needs brushing too of course
The brush I have (bog standard type) just goes over the top and doesn't get out any knots. It frizzes her curls too
Can anyone recommend a good brush for our needs please

You need a slicker brush..these have wire pins.Very important to brush from the base of the coat, you will need to part the coat,to do this.
Poodles need to be brushed reguarly,at least once a week.Otherwise they start to mat, it is painful for the dog to try and brush these out.
Its a misconception that they do not moult...they do, but the loose hair tangles in the coat, hence why they mat, if this shed hair is not brushed out.

Sorry to hijack but would a slicker brush be the right kind for a Bichon as well? we are the same we use a normal brush and it doesnt seem to do much of anything.

Yes,use a slicker for a Bichon and you also need a metal comb for both breeds

Thanks, I thought a slicker brush would hurt her
I have ordered one
