Things your dog does that you didn't train them to do

Well, consciously anyway. The poodley thing has started jumping up into my arms so he can lick my face. I'm not keen, tbh, but if I don't catch him he might fall to his splatty death. I did not train him to do this. He also walks around on his back legs doing a strange sort of salsa move to get attention when we're eating dinner. He has never been fed from the table, but we do appreciate the entertainment. The spaniel taught himself to search for things with no real input from me. He will work an area methodically, tail a blur, until he finds whatever I might have dropped. He's great at finding keys.

My dog does the point things waits for me at crosspaths in our walk round and round the park.

Can walk on back legs only.

Likes empty fizzy pop bottles with lids so he can undo them . Never eats the lid.

Waits by door for walk calmly never taught him that.
Will sit and watch me sadly if thinks he not going and if told he not going goes and sit on sofa.
Will stay on sofa if a long lead walk is coming.

Knows where all his mates live and i only have say we are going to so so house and takes me there. I would and have walked past if he has not been there.

Barks to go loo or if not been fed enough.

Will sit and wine if there is something on the coffee table he wants that is in china cup.
Will use his tongue or paw to get something off coffee table if it is his or he thinks it should be ie a tissue .

Has a diffent barks for whose at the door.

Knows my freinds cars when they pull up .

Will wait a window if told freinds are coming .

Taught him self to throw those marrow bones thing s with good suff in middle used to bring it to me to push out the good stuff then worked out if he threw it would come out. Works best if you throw it down the stairs.

Also worked if tins had good stuff in them and thrown against stuff in garden you might get something nice . They are also good to be Buried .

Not allowed near tins now does not try this with glass bottles.
Will lift his paw up and make snap sound mouth means I not moving from sofa but I want affection . Come here and give me some.

Will put his paw on my hand so I can't go anywhere when cuddling on sofa. Some time goes to sleep on hand so can't move.

I love my clever dog.

I haven't trained him to do so, but cat1 has trained him to bark so that cat1 gets let in through the patio doors

If I hold up his house coat/jumper, he'll run up, put his head through the neck and then put his paws through the jumper legs.
