Car boot buddy

Anyone bought one of these for their dogs - boot buddy?

we have a lab and go on wet/muddy walks a lot, and the boot has carpet flooring, sides and back of rear seats. This boot buddy seems ideal but is £££££. don't mind that too much if its good as we've got a new (to us) car and want to keep it nice inside. we'll have the car (and dog) for a good few years.

or other alternatives you recommend? most fabric type boot liners seem to get mixed reviews as they are attached to the sides with velcro and the dog pulls them down/ they need adjusted a lot.

What sort of car have you got? We have a boot liner we can get for our specific car from the dealership which catches all the mud (and sand in the summer) although it doesn't go up the sides. We have a waterproof, hardwearing cordura cover for a duvet square that goes on top of it to make it more comfortable when mistledog is in the boot (although she's normally in a harness on the back seat or in the footwell)

WE have a very large, very wet and muddy dog - we got the over the top, expensive, but well worth the money

its a Ford Focus Estate. I saw the Ford bootliners, but as you say, it doesn't go up the side.

The sides and back of the boot are the carpet type material which I cant be arsed image will be hard to clean when covered in mud, slavers and labrador hairs. The attraction of the boot buddy is that it does cover them too, just wonder if anyone has one or something similar and is it good/will last/worth the money.

MrsL just had an email back from boot buddy to say they don't make to fit the Ford Focus boot with my (standard ford) dog guard. They said I can order the standard fit one and cut with a Stanley knife to fit. Do you think this would be easy?

We have a boot liner in my Volvo and it is specific to the make and model of my car. It is a godsend. No matter how muddy or sandy the dog is i can take it out and hose it down and the carpet in the boot stays good as new.

I have a 'hatchbag' made to measure, covers the whole boot brilliantly. I regularly shift a very hairy dog, hay bales, garden stuff etc.. along with items for work that need to be kept clean.A quick brush out and a wipe down and the boot is spotless, underneath the liner the boot is as new. I will never own a car without one now it is worth its weight in gold.

Best thing I ever bought for my car, just wipes clean no matter how dirty my dog gets. The staff were really helpful when I ordered too.

Seem a bit pricey to me! Maybe I'm just being a cheapskate but wouldn't a big tarpaulin do the same job? That's what I've got in my car and works wonders. I just pull it out from time to time and shake or wash off. Cost me less than £5!
