Are there some dogs who are too small to be given bones?

I have been recommending raw diet to a friend of mine who owns a Chihuahua.
He is a tiny little thing.
Just wondering for a dog that small, is it safe to feed them raw bones like chicken wings?

Any risk of choking or damaging his teeth as they are so tiny?

I wouldn't feed small bones like chicken wings to any dog tbh, we've tried giving our greyhound bones and it's made him sick because bits splinter off, so we don't any more

If you want good advice, join raw feeding UK on Facebook, they have all kinds of dogs, and some are weaning puppies straight onto raw so I'm sure they will be able to help. Loads of info on this website dogsdinner2.webs.com/

Bones being too big is better than too small - chicken wings for a chi means they'd have to chew and crunch up the bone making it safe, my dog swallows them whole which makes it a choking hazard.

I mean I wouldn't get huge bones, but chicken, lamb ribs, necks and stuff should be perfectly do-able.

Loads of pics of chi's eating wing etc on raw feeding uk. Smile

My BT is bigger than that (obviously!) but at only 8kg has tackled some pretty big chunks of spine etc so I really can't see raw wings or ribs being a problem.
