Black scab on nose ... Is it cancer

My little 5 year old JR has developed a smallish black spot on near his nose it of tens scabs core and then becomes shiny and then it scabs again. I am fearing the worse and thinking its cancer

Then you need to take him to a vet to find out!

Has he had it long? One of my labs had a sore patch on his nose which took ages to heal and disappear - I think because he kept knocking the scab off in his snuffling around.

But really, if you have any concerns, the vet is the person to ask.

There are so many things it could be and the vast majority are not cancer.
