My lurcher is having whole tail amputation tomorrow.
She's 18, had gangrene on end of tail, had end of tail removed, 2 weeks later, gangrene back, the whole lot is going.
Anyone else expereinced this ??

I have amputated several tails with gangrene. I find that need to amputate several inches beyond the gangrene to get clear margins. It's much much more common in cats than dogs.
