Wick kibble is really the best

I want to continue feeding permadog kibble. She currently has Symply, as it is promoted as a better kibble, less additives etc.

I'm wondering if there's something out there even better and more pure?

TIA

I've not heard of eitehr of these makes, are you in the UK? (maybe i am behind the times!). I absolutely swear by "Burns" complete food, its hypoallergenic and all natural. If i didn't feed burns the second option for me would be "james wellbeloved" but burns do a small bite kibble and i have jack russels who prefer the smaller biscuits. They are both top end of the market but i would thoroughly recommend it.

fish4dogs is about the best

sweetkitty · 27/01/2014 22:42

Second the whichdogfood site its excellent for telling you what goes into each kind of good.

My puppy was on Burns but wasn't gaining weight obit so have switched to Millies Wolfheart and so far so good

MonstersBalls · 27/01/2014 22:48

I don't know whether there is a 'best' kibble. I fed MonsterPup a food which was considered the best and had a 5* rating and it didn't agree with her at all!

I think every dog is different and what agrees with some will cause problems in others. It's just a case of finding one that suits your dog.

We've been feeding Burns for years and it does the job. It keeps dogs on the lean side which was a problem with our oldies. I started using CSJ as a mixer with the Burns and it seems to do the trick weightwise. There's a lot in the news about the raw food diet. I don't have freezer room or time.

Was on fish4dogs but it really made one stink. Changed to Millies wolfheart countryside mix and the smell and haze reduced drastically.

Mine won't touch Fish4dogs.
I buy three different sorts of kibble as mine don't all do well on the same one.

Rescueadog was on Gentle, which is great but very concentrated so I was overfeeding him. Now I've got half a massive bag left :(

Thanks for all the replies, I'm thinking of changing to Lily's Kitchen. It's meant to be very good and is made with no grain, using fresh meat, not dried.

Anyone tried this?

We use millies wolfheart. Grain free good quality protein and well priced for the quality. Check it out on the whichdogfood.co.uk site.

You can talk to the millies guys on their facebook group. Service and support is outstanding.
