Dogs and Skin ?!

Ok, this might sound a bit nuts (!) but...

Can having dogs affect your own (facial) skin? Ie stroking them and then touching your face?

We've had 2 labs now for a while, and I've always had great skin, even as a teenager, but for the past 3 months or so, I have really blotchy, and sometimes spotty skin Hmm

This is now getting me down, as make-up isn't even covering it well Hmm

Confused Start washing your hands and stop touching your face and see if it gets better.

Thank you coffee I hadn't thought of that, wow Hmm

In all seriousness though, you can't go wash your hands EVERY time you get brushed, jumped on or touched by a dog/dogs ...

Useful answers please ... ?

I have a friend with a dog allergy which presents in a similar way. She strokes dog then touches face and she goes itchy and blotchy. Hers is an instant reaction though and not a continuous thing.

Carrie that's exactly what I do I'm afraid! I'm especially careful now I'm pregnant. My SIL is really allergic so she will wash her hands after every time she touches the dog. You could also try antibacterial gel if you don't want to go to the sink every time.
