Anyone any experience with prostatic cyst in cocker spaniel

My beautiful boy has been diagnosed with a prostatic cyst. Initially I took him to the vet as he was leaking urine in the house and also in his bed. Vet diagnosed a uti and prescribed antibiotics. These certainly helped however he was still leaking in his bed at night. Once the cyst was discovered via ultrasound scan the vet started giving him hormone injections 4 weekly. At first these seemed to make a difference but now we're back as bad as ever. His bed is literally saturated every morning. Dh lets him out at 3am and bed is fine. I let him out at 730 and it's soaked through.

He's due back for another scan this week but he's started showing new symptoms this week and I wondered if anyone had experience of these. He has started shaking all over most noticeable at feeding time. Also his teeth chatter. Like ours would if we were freezing or had had a shock. I've noticed his back legs fail him a few times. Not regularly though. Could just have been his legs were still asleep or something.

Up until 18 momths ago I'd only had him at vet for annuals but 18 months ago he had an infection in his spine which cleared up with antibiotics. I'm now wondering though if any of this could be connected to that. Infection was caused by trauma to his snout after jumping over a wall.

He is almost 13 and the whole family love him to bits but the vet has said he's tried all the meds now and doesnt recommend surgery as removing the cyst will likely leave him completely incontinent Sad

I should have mentioned he's already been castrated and vet said it was very unusual for a castrated dog to get a prostatic cyst as it's caused by testosterone
