Wee everywhere!

Hi all. I have 2 x-breed small dogs, 1 male 1 female. The female is a terrier type, very nervous. She hates the cold and rain & refuses to wee or poo outside of a night in winter. She just sits cowering until she's let back in, waits til I've gone to bed then does her business on the kitchen floor. Male dog then 'marks' wherever she's been. Every morning it's a mess. Any advice please? Tia

Put her coat on if she doesn't like the rain on her body. Some dogs can be a bit nervous of being out in the dark. Do you go out with her? It's a pain but you need to stand with her until she performs. Then when she does, lots of praise and high value rewards.

With enough patience, praise and rewards you'll be able to train her to pee on request.

Mine is the same if I take her for a tiny walk around the block she will do something with her coat on. She is frightened and will not do something if spooked but if she is moving forward she will eventually go there is another thread about this as the weather has been so crap you are definitely not alone many of us standing in the rain and wind willing the dog and becoming obsessed with dog doings...
