i left my 8 month pup outside for 4 hours. :(

I was so stressed this morning I went out and left him in the garden. I can't believe I did that, I love my lad so much. He seems absolutely fine. Please someone tell me he'll be ok? I feel so terrible.

Erm yes, of course he'll be ok. He's a dog!

I feel like a twat now. I know he'll probably have had a great time because hes bloody well trashed the garden and is covered in mud!

He will be absolutely fine, he probably loved every messy and muddy minute of it

We did that once. We were going out for the day and were going to be out for 6+ hours. My brother finished work 3 hours after we went so was going to take our dog to his until we came home.

He got to ours to find the dog in the garden. DH thought I'd got him in and I thought he'd brought him in.

No harm done. He had water and shelter and toys.

Next door once did that, by accident,with their teenage Lab.
They had a lawn at the start, at the end they had a perfect location for a film about the Somme.

DH did that once with our Border collie, only it was all night!

I came down early in the morning to take him for his walk and the dog was nowhere to be seen. Then two eyes were looking at me through the cat flap.

Luckily, it was a very warm summer's night, he had water outside and he usually chose to sleep on a cold floor inside, so he was sort-of used to it.

I have not quite forgiven DH and it was many years ago.

We had our garden all done last year. What a waste of money that was! He is like a lumberjack when it comes to trees! I know i was being silly but hes just my lovely boy and I felt so guilty.
