Is there such a thing as a shorter ball launcher

Sorry if I'm not making sense but I throw like a girl but can't spare a hand to keep a hold of one of those ball launcher sticks, ideally they would do them with a retractable handle so I could shove it in ewoks bag with the rest of her training gear but I'm guessing noones invented that yet, so is there something else that would fit in a smallish across the body bag?

I bought a short handled one in Sainburys, and you can buy one with a retractable handle on Amazon.

I don't like those plastic things as I feel like it's just more stuff I have to take with me - and I'll probably forget it somewhere.
I buy balls that have a rope tied to them - they are great for throwing far and easy to put in a pocket or bag.
They look like this: www.thedogtrainingsecret.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/balls-on-string.jpg

Yes, they do short handle ones, I have this one. It doesn't fling quite as far as a longer one, but it does the trick and is definitely easier to carry, as it fits in my smallish dog-walking backpack.

Retractable launcher on Amazon, here.
