Lump on dog :'(

Found a lump on my dog last night. Taking him to the vets when they open. Am panicking as we lost his half brother (same sire) last year to cancer and he's not been putting on quite as much weight as we'd like (he lost a bit when he went into kennels when I had dd).

My rational head says he's 16 months old, he's a Weimaraner which are lumpy, cysty dogs anyway and he's absolutely fine within himself - but so was his brother right up to the point I took him to the vets.

Sadly though, my rational head isn't quite as loud as my pessimistic head. I'm scared :( fingers crossed he's just bumped himself or it is a cyst, please?

I can understand your panic, especially after losing his brother, but hopefully it will be nothing.

our staffie is practically a walking lump! he started getting a bit lumpy when he was quite young, he is nearly 14 now and is covered but, thankfully, they are all fine - just fatty lumps.

good luck with the vet visit, hope all turns out well.
