Brown pee from puppy - do we go to the vet?!

Morning.

We have a 14 week old labradoodle. Her last pee last night and first pee this morning had a distinct brown tinge to them.

She's in her usual fine and crazy form.

Should we take her to the vets to get checked out? Any experiences of similar or ideas on what's causing it?

Worried Sad

I wonder if it's blood? I'd suggest getting a sample and taking it to the vet, then they can look at it and establish if there's a problem (they could say 'don't worry' or they could test it). If you haven't done this task before (!) then get a foil/plastic takeaway container if you have such a thing and put it underneath her when she goes for a wee. Then decant it into a glass bottle if you have one (or plastic if not) and take to the vet. Suggest you do it today if you can as most vets and labs shut over the weekend. It should hopefully put your mind at rest. Nothing she's eaten is it? You know how beetroot gives you red wee! My boy was weeing blood a while ago, very dark red. Yours doesn't sound as bad. Good luck!

Oh Gawd Blush

She ate beetroot yesterday (managed to snaffle a few bits from DD's plate before I could see her!

Mind at rest. Thank you so much for your reply Thanks
