Homecheck in Ipswich needed!

I'm fostering a dog on behalf of Action Aid for Animals. A couple in Ipswich would like to adopt her, have been to visit her but still need a homecheck.

The charity is always so busy, it's taking a bit of time so wondered if any lovely MNer was local to Ipswich and wouldn't mind taking 1/2 hour to do a homecheck. Thanks!

Hi, I wouldn't recommend asking for a "random" homechecker, for several reasons. There are a number of FB groups that organise nationwide homechecks for rescues, and transport - if the rescue is taking a while, ask them to pop a request on to one of the FB pages. Anyone who homechecks for them has to have their identity verified, sign confidentiality agreements (for data protection), agree to a code of conduct, and often use the questions specifically requested by the rescue. Increasingly, homecheckers are now also being asked for voluntary CRB checks. Homechecking involves being in someone's house, asking questions that are often very detailed and being in a position of trust around possessions, children, information etc. - there is also the issue of protecting the safety of the homechecker themselves.

I understand the frustration when you've found the perfect match Smile.
