Shampoo

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo which will actually get rid of the smell of Fantastic Mr Fox? ArseDog has never been much of a stinker before, but over the last couple of weeks has taken to rolling in Foxy Loxy's scent every sodding day. I've now tried 3 different shampoos and he's even been to the doggy parlour, and we're not really doggy parlour people but were desperate, but the smell is lingering. I've washed his bedding and all the rugs he lies on. Actually, I think the house smells ok, it's just HIM.

Any and all advice gratefully received!

Tomato ketchup is meant to get rid of the smell.

Not tried it myself, but Animology Fox Poo Dog Shampoo is supposed to be quite good.

I bathe my dog in a mixture of white vinegar and shower gel. Mix 1/4 pint of vinegar with a good squirt of shower gel in a jug or plastic bottle, top with warm water and stir well.

Use as you would a shower gel or shampoo, plenty all over and rinse well. I have a staffy and he can stink but this keeps him fresh smelling for up to a month. Never seen a flea on him, the vinegar keeps them away. Haven't bought dog shampo

washing up liquid. fox poo is oily that's why it's hard to shift but a bit of fairy always sorts it. Unfortunately it's a regular event here!

We bought some anti bacterial shampoo from pets at home. Think it was called medicated shampoo, green bottle! Dogs never smelt better! Smells like vosene!!
