I didn't even know they were about at this time of year! Puppy is black and very curly-coated, so I check him every night for general gunk and nasties, as it isn't easy to see. Thought he had a small fleck of mud above one eye, so pulled it out and had a teeny tiny tick in my hand. Thankfully it was entire. (I checked!) I didn't know ticks could be that tiny.
Presumably he got it in the garden, as he hasn't really been anywhere since Friday. (When I tired him out and he's been on strike ever since.)
Oh, the horrors!
