Hi we are rehoming a Shih Tzu/Tibetian Spaniel she is 12 weeks old. She has been with a family for one week but one of the children has an allergy to the pups fur. Anyway she is coming tonight and im panicking now as Im not quite ready (thought she was coming on sunday) So I'm hoping you guys have some advice for me !! :) I have a crate ready, will get her a bed today....Should she eat dry food or wet? How many times a day will i feed her (4 times?)
thanks again

Keep her on what she eats already and to the same schedule. You can change it in a few weeks (gradually) once she's settled.

I bet she is fluffy!!!

Lucky you, hope she settles and I'd echo just continue what the breeder and other family did as she will be a bit unsettled at first most probably.

How's it going?

Hard work....arghghg. She is adorable though. She screamed for a while last night eventually we all managed some sleep at about 1am. I woke a few times to listen for her but she was quiet in her crate with classic Fm on!! Ive been out and bought wet puppy food as she was sent with Bakers dry food which she was struggling to eat and is so much happier. Ive booked her in for her first set of jabs on monday. Can't wait to take her out!! I have just had a snooze on the sofa as Im shattered!! :) But we are all ok, will come over to new puppy mums !!

Most vets won't give first injections until they have been in your house over a week. Just so that they can be settled and know then if the puppy gets upset stomach after jabs that it is that and not the fact they are upset from change of enviroment. Just check before you go for appointment so it won't be a wasted journey. Hope she is still settling in well.
