When to graduate to young dog food? Our 15 week old lab is on Chudley Puppy.

15 weeks was when I swapped to chudleys junior and my pup likes the junior far more than the puppy

You can swap him onto adult food whenever you like. The life stage foods are a bit of a gimmick really and plenty of people don't bother using them at all.

When we get a puppy they get gradually swapped onto the same food as the adults when they arrive and they thrive just as well on that as they would on a puppy-specific food.

My boy's on Barking Heads puppy food at the moment. It suggests it's for puppies up to 12 months.

I've only got the one dog, so it's no hassle at the moment to be getting puppy food rather than adult food - although he does get adult food if we're invited to either of my parents' houses as they have adult dogs and I tend to feed him whatever they're on.

Nearer the end of the year I'll probably buy his last bag of puppy food and then start to move him on to the grown up stuff.
