Besdides offal, what cuts of meat do you use in homemade food?
Just wondering as this could get expensive for a large breed.

Fit for human consumption wise I use mince, wings, bones such as spine and anything I can find in the reduced section. I can buy a mixed mince of beef, pork, lamb and heart for £2/3lb. Wings are around £2/kg. A local pet supplier does beef, chicken and tripe for 40p/lb but a prefer human grade if I'm honest as I do not have a seperate freezer.

Online from places like DAF or MVM is also cheap but again I don't have thr freezer room. I buy bits from pets at home occaisionally at around 90p/lb .

I buy daf foods - do a months worth, he is a giant breed (has about 3-4pounds a day), and still growing (14months), its £70 - 80 a month.....I could do it cheaper I am sure, but like to make it "easy"
I do combination minced and chunks

I use any cuts of meat I can get cheaply I also use human grade meat. I mainly stick to the bulk being chicken I get chicken legs etc for about £2/£2.50 a kilo. You can get frozen in Asda for around £1.80 a kg. I feed 3 dogs on the barf diet for at most £2.50 a day. I have got a Jack Russell, Swedish Fox Hound and a British Bulldog. When feeding raw you only have to feed about 2% of the dogs body weight eg my Bully weighs 25kg but only eats 500g of food split into 2 meals a day. I also give them frozen chicken and duck feet as treats.
