Puppy with snotty nose

Do dogs get colds?

6 month old lab has had yellow snot coming out nose a few times throughout today, otherwise fine and no other symptoms.

He was bitten on the muzzle yesterday by next doors dog, and yelped a lot when it happened, but no signs of any injury at all, not even a scratch. (have had a torch shinning up his nose). Thought it might be an injury from this internal to nose and maybe an infection, but It does not smell bad.

He's fully vaccinated including kennel cough.

Completely normal, go to Vets or wait and see?

Vets will probably need some antibiotics.

Got home from work today and pup seems a little sleepy, or I might be imagining it as he's our pfp (precious first puppy). Vets now booked for 5:40pm.

He's only ever met next doors neighbours (ndn) dog through the fence before and they haven't even barked at each other, just sniffed. I was out walking pup and met ndn, both our dogs were on leads. Dogs met and started to say hello/sniff and then ndn dog just went for him and pup was yelping, it was horrible.

ndn dog is an 2 yr old ex-rescue staffie x. ndn (who I don't know very well but is usually really friendly and helpful) seemed embarrassed but said "yes, he doesn't usually like other dogs". He could maybe have said that before he let his dog near mine!!!!!! I'm a little upset Angry

My dd took our little jr to the garden center and was outside the cafe with her boyfriend when a woman said can I leave my little dog with you. To cut a long story short her dog bit ours and then said hers didn't like other dogs my dd was in a right state when she got home.
Hope everything goes ok vet will probably just give you some antibiotics sounds like cold if you have trouble giving them to puppy just put them in a bit of bread and jam.

Vet checked him over and no temperature or anything other than the discharge from nose which is getting worse. Vet couldn't say whether its because of the bite, a cold or maybe a foreign body stuck up there. Got course of antibiotics and we have to go back next week (£40 so far!)

Pup is eating the pills like they are treats, but he also eats socks, flies, spiders, mud and anything else he can find, so no surprises there!

Got a telephone number at vets for dog training for ndn's dog. Going to take it in later and let them know we've been. I'm not going to blame their dog (or ask for or accept any money, which they are likely to offer as they are usually nice) as vet isn't sure, but hope to embarrass them into starting training. Is that bad?
