Fitz wouldn't touch it so we won't use it and I can't take it back to pets at home as I've lost the receipt - any ideas?

Donate to an animal shelter?

bundaberg · 01/10/2013 20:58

give it to a dog shelter place?

ivegotaniphone · 01/10/2013 20:59

Give it to a rescure centre

Tillypo · 01/10/2013 21:00

Put it on Ebay or in your local free ads paper. Or if you are feeling generous to your local dog rehoming center

They might not refund without a receipt but surely they'd exchange for something else of equal value?

OldBeanbagz · 01/10/2013 21:40

Local dog shelter or Freecycle?

basildonbond · 01/10/2013 21:53

perfectly happy to give it to a shelter but our local one is Battersea and I sort of assumed they'd be wary of people offering random bags of food ...

Any shelters are grateful for donations.

Whoknowswhocares · 02/10/2013 10:20

Take it back to pets at home. They will definitely exchange it (well I've done it twice with different foods, both times without receipt)
Use the credit note for what you want and then you can make a monetary donation to a charity if you still want to help out.

Is it open? If so I don't think they'd take it back. Ask Battersea the question - but I'm sure they would! If not take it to your vet - ours collects food for our two local shelters.
