She's been out for a pee and had a drink, but she's got no bounce, and she's just curled up and gone back to sleep. Walking fine, responded to a fuss, prodded her all over and nothing seems to hurt- she's just .....droopy. What should I do?

How old is she? Could she be coming into season? Or just, you know, knackered? Busy weekend?

curlew · 16/09/2013 10:52

She's 4, and spayed. She did have a busy weekend, but she usually does.we've had her since the beginning of July, and she hasn't been like this before,

Any other symptoms? Scratching? Bum dragging? Squitty poo?

curlew · 16/09/2013 11:28

No other symptoms.

She's curled up in the sum outside- she wags if I pet her.

I think I'll just leave her alone and see how she is when it's time to go for a walk this afternoon. Maybe she's just tired......

Mine do this sometimes, and usually perk up again the next day. I wonder if they sometimes injure themselves a bit and are a little sore for a day or so. The spaniel also has low energy days if he's had a full on day the day before. I think you're right just to keep an eye on her :)

I wondered that- but she didn't squeak when I prodded her. But she was haring about like a demented tribble yesterday, so she might have pulled a muscle or something.
