I have a giant breed - just over a year old. To complicate matters he is a draughting breed - so naturally pulls.
Anyway he got a horse fly bite on his nose so we stopped using his dogmatic (which he doesn't pull in), I used a halti chest harness - which he way prefers to the dogmatic, but he pulls like buggery...... I know lots of people like the doxlock on here, and am wondering abit getting one, but only seems to attach on the back?
We will be teaching him to tow a sled and cart (he needs a job) so want it to be clear about towing v's walking to heel.... Which he was doing beautifully , but not so much now (except in the dogmatic) I have to say verbal instructions don't work well for him, whereas hand signals are definately are the thing he follows (and a whistle for recall) .
I do also wonder about the canny collar..... So many options.....

One of the things I liked about the look of the doxlock is the pouches you can attach to the side.....

Doxlock are not anti pull in any respect . I use one for my terrier and its by far the best harness I've tried ,and I've had a few ! My dog however walks nicely on a lead and only pulls if he sees a cat .

That's what I thought flora.... I am worried that it will confuse him, as we can start training him to draught in about a month..... The harness would be so similar - think it would confuse him.

I can recommend Canny collars , we also have one of those that I use in the winter when he has his thick coat on so can't wear the harness . For medical reasons I can't use a flat collar and we tried a few headcollars but the canny is our favourite .
