Can I disinfect grass?

Our puppy had diarrhoea all over the lawn yesterday. (She's absolutely fine now, we think she may have had worms possibly as her wormer was just about due). Poor thing was scared and tried to run away every time she went leading to lovely poo trails across the lawn.....

I've picked up all the poo I can and poured lots of water over the runnier bits (sorry!) but the whole idea of my 10 month old DD being in the garden now is making me a bit worried and I want to disinfect the pooey bit. Can I do this?! Will the grass die? Will I poison the puppy? What should I use? Any help much appreciated

Thanks!
