After an epic drive.. Hampshire coast to just past dover.. An back again, puppy is home. He is eating weeing and pooping, solid poop too no upset tum so far. He has had his first jabs, is wormed and flead. We have continued with his James well beloved and he seems ok.

He slept well without cries, and is asleep now. He has met DS's (nearly 4 and 7months) and the cat.

He shakes alot though, and wants to be near me constantly? Im guessing that is normal? Breeder (non professional) said vet has said he has an undescended testicle.

He doesnt seem to indicate he needs the loo, just gets up and goes, we have managed to intercept a poop but are missing the wees, any tips?

He is a slightly mad cairn spaniel terrier cross! So far so not so bad! I will try that tip re going to the garden as we have had a few accidents.

It is harder than I expected so far! Although I am waiting on the crate that i didnt think we would need to arrive

shakes like he has been in water? It is the dog style of a reset!

CunningAtBothEnds · 11/08/2013 19:18

Yes like he has been in the cold! Is it best to ignore? Reassure?

Normal behaviour, shake for a reset then carry on.

Congratulations on your new hairy baby. Thanks

I've just got a working cocker spaniel & he's an angel!

Also a fast learner which is good. I take him out after sleep, play food etc and tell him "busy". And he does Grin

He is mummies boy at the moment. And big gsd plays so gently with him. So sweet the pair together.

Ah glad its normal behaviour!

He is like a baby, he is supposed to be DHs dog really but he has work 6-6 until weds (then off until sept, halleluja!) so at the moment Im his constant.

He has settled down for a nice sleep now having just done his poop and wee, so I will take him out when he wakes. Im saying weewees for either business!
