My boy is 11 not 8!

Just that really.

We took him in just over a year ago when his family emigrated they said he was 7 and I never thought anymore of it.

I was just checking when his vaccinations are due and noticed on his microchip form year of birth 2002!

I'm really (possibly unreasonably) upset, I love him so much, he sleeps right next to me in his bed and follows me everywhere. I feel like I've had 3yrs of him stolen

Oh Caffeine I understand how that would be upsetting :(

I get upset every time I work out how old my dog is (he's 8 and 1/2), because I just want him to be 3 again.

Nothing you can do but hug him a bit more and enjoy the time you have together. On a plus note, if you happily believed him to be 8 he must be pretty healthy for an 11 year old :)
