One weeping tear stained eye

Should I take pup to the vets ASAP, or is there something OTC or home remedies I can try first?

She has just been shaved of all her long fur after getting it matted going in and out and in and out and in and out the sea on holiday....! I was thinking perhaps she has just been irritated by sand, scratched her eye or something...?

Or should I be more worried? She doesn't seem in the slightest bit bothered about it, no pawing at her eye or anything.

Next summer, I will shave her BEFORE holiday as grooming her inbetween sea visits is completely impossible.

If it were my dogs I would bathe regularly ( warm water ) and see what happens. If the discharge turns greenish or the eye looks like its irritating her then pop her to the vets.

Thank you cathpip. I have been wiping it with a tissue in warm water.

I think I am going to give it until tomorrow. It's not green or anything. It's more obvious because of staining on her fur rather than anything else.

Mmmmm. More troublesome than children!
