Puppy has lump on stomach

This morning our 12 week old lab has developed a lump on her stomach by one of the nipples (not sure if that is the right terminology) nearest her groin. It isn't hurting her and am going to make an appointment with the vets this morning. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what it could be? Google is terrifying me.

The most likely explanation is a hernia which is not usually a problem so try not to panic. Seeing the vet is the best idea.

Yes, I was going to say hernia too. Umbilical hernias are not uncommon in pups. Make that vets appointment & stop googling Smile

Thanks - hopefully it is not too much to worry about. Vets opens at 830 so will be on the phone then. There also seems to be a bit of dried blood around the area though she hasn't been scratching it. Just hope she is ok she is a lovely girl.

How did you get on? Hope Karapup is OK.

How did the appointment go? I am wondering if she has something stuck under her skin.

Thankfully vet thinks just a bad insect bite - got some cream to apply. I am so relieved!

Great news!

Thanks - I feel a bit daft panicking now, don't think I was as bad with my human baby!
