1 year old - recently speyed. More hyper?

Pup spayed 2 weeks ago. Got over it within 2 days in terms of drowsiness/visible discomfort etc and has been more barky, hyper, cheeky than ever since then and has even gone back to nipping. She's also started scratching/digging the carpet, cushions and her beds.

Is this normal or do I have a mould breaker? Thx.

Could be a phantom pregnancy - has she had a season before being spayed?

permaquandry · 04/08/2013 22:20

Yes, 2 seasons. 4 months apart. She was speyed 6 weeks after 2nd season. Thought a phantom preg couldn't happen after being speyed? Blush

Any other ideas? She's just as bad today. It's the barking, which she always did, at noises, front door etc but now it's just random, barking at me, nothing, the air......help!

Mine was spayed last Monday but is 2.10 years-old and had her only since last January. Already she is livlier, but I put that down to being left from 7.45am to 2pm at the vets before her op and was traumatised.

Now she is so excited to be back home. Today, she seems to be getting back to her normal self, though.
She is a quiet breed/

oh dear that sounds like my mini schnauzer at the moment
and I was hoping getting her spayed would help calm her down!
I hope she settles down after a day or so. Do keep us in touch!
