My boy is in surgery

Just a wee hand hold if anyone is up? My gorgeous boy has been in surgery since 10.30 after a bone sharded in his stomach and has joined to cause a mass in his abdomen. I am waiting on vet to call but don't know how long it will take

He is a 6 year old lab, we have had him for 2 years and he is the most gentle loving dog ever.

Can't believe it all happened so quick

I know absolutely nothing about dog surgery (or any really) but I have a hand to offer

chubby that is so kind if you and my worries are nothing compared to what you have been through recently, I posted on your thread under my old name and think of you often, hope your doing ok.

One of my labs has had surgery for a gastric obstruction (turned out to be two of them). She is fine - it was a big operation, but she recovered and has been tip top ever since.

I hope it's the same for your boy - I'm sure the vet is doing everything he can for him.

Thanks daisy vet has just called he is sitting up out of his head on painkillers but a very lucky dog! He's not out if the woods but its looking good for him

Hopefully I will get some sleep now and also the lovely vet - we aren't even patients their as we are on holiday but they were so lovely tonight. Surgery was 3 hours long

He did say labs were the worst offenders for this type of surgery!

Krazy that's so touching thank you. We're pulling through in anyway possible but rough times still.

Glad to hear your boy's doing okay, I'm sure soon enough he'll be bouncing around like his old self
