We have had pimmsdog for 15months now, he is just over 2 and we are over all the issues we had when we first rescued him. He is now an adorable, reliable family member who loves the DC and DH. We have learnt that although he looks more like a black lab he has a LOT of collie in him and behaves like a proper sheep dog herding up the DC back to us when we call for them. We have mastered recall, walking nicely on the lead, fetch, drop, stay and no longer bin dive with the help of some duck tape on the bin lid Wink

We have been thinking about getting pimmsdog a friend for some time now, knew we wanted something with collie in but was unsure what mix we would get.

We are going tomorrow to look, make sure the DC and pimmsdog are ok with bring home as I will fall in love with a springer collie cross a "sprollie" to go with our "lollie" Grin

Am I totally mad? The DC finish school tomorrow morning and then I will have 9 weeks of 4DC, pimmsdog and a new puppy

We've got 4 collies and occasionally babysit a Sprollie when her owners are on holiday. I would take 4 hyper collies over 1 sprollie any day! They're nuts! Grin

Best of luck with the new sprollie poopie. :)

Agree with Quiet Tiger I would have a herd of collies to one Sprollie. Yet to meet a sane one. They seem to get the OCD of the collies but fixate on herding scenting and chasing......give me a herdy dog anyday Grin

Oh we'll I must be mad Grin we saw him, fell in love and he is currently sleeping in his crate in the lounge having played in the garden jumping up at DCs for 2 hours solid.

Congratulations, pimmsgalore! We have a two year old Sprollie and are looking for another! He is the most fantastic dog - not neurotic like a lot of collies I've met and very bright and trainable. Promoted to the next class in agility earlier than any of the others who we attend with. (Smug look Wink) I'm sure your sprollie will be great!
