Worming: how often?

I have a 1 yr old mutt. How often do you worm your doggies and what do you use?

If you look on the lungworms/parasite thread lonecat ,who is a vet , explained what is the current gold standard . Sorry cant do links I'm inept!

We use Milbemax, every other month.

Floral is right that is my gold standard. The bare minimum for round and tapeworm is every three months. What I would emphasis is that this bare minimum should be with a good quality modern product like Drontal or Milbemax.
