Just wondered what would be most practical and nice (without spending ridiculous amounts!)

Thanks so much for any tips, it's for a present

If your Westie is anything like mine, don't get one if the circular type ones made of foam - I've binned two over the past few months as they were good 'duffing up' material which resulted in the foam becoming a lumpy misshaped mess Wink

I haven't bought a replacement yet but Bubbadog prefers the sofa anyway!!

Thanks so much; that at least narrows the choice! Maybe I'll just get a padded fleece type thing that can be used in the car too if he or she ends up on the sofa too!

I did consider getting a plastic dog basket and putting one of the squidgy cushions you can get, but the basket looks sooo uncomfortable (I treat him like a newborn son Wink).

I'm considering a flat bed that is like a large cushion and see if that is less of a target for destruction - as I watch Bubbadog take a rubber duck to task Grin

I have a 3 peaks bed from PAH for my muddy, water loving spaniel. It's wipe clean, but comfy and tough. He has a few blankets in it for the squishy factor.

We have a plastic dog bed with one of those big fluffy pillows for it. I've put some fleece blankets and another pillow in there as well, and the dog loves that bed.

She has some big pillows too (one home made, another from the pet shop), as well as a square soft dog bed.
The square soft dog bed was popular when she was on holiday with my parents and their dog, as both dogs would sleep in it.

You want to get one of these - the practicality of plastic but the squidgyness you are looking for. My dog loves it and it looks so comfortable!

This is amazing of you all- thank you all. I ordered a lovely red plastic one (50cm) with the Sharples Grant fluffy cover which I think will be a fantastic present. So thank you all for helping

I thought about the 3 peaks bed too but this westie in London so might not be so muddy (though maybe will!)
