Fleas? Help

Permapup always itching ears, normally ear mites. Been a tiny bit more itchy lately, has very dry skin and is in season, also in garden a lot at the mo.

Just giving her a belly tickle, saw a tiny little bug crawling on her, I squished it quick and if I'm remembering it well it looked like a tiny, black garden bug, not like the pictures on the net of flease. No blood came out when squished. Blush

Checked over her whole body, no others, she always has little back specks on her belly anyway, so that's nothing new, and doesn't look like flea faeces. I will do the water/speck test to double check.

My question is this, she has Frontline Combo every 8 weeks and is due for another 2 weeks for next dose.

She occasionally goes upstairs but spends most of her time in the kitchen. She did run across my bed a couple of times recently.

If it is fleas or even to be on the safe side, do I need to boil wash all the sheets, flea bomb and hoover the whole house, or will the Frontline have been enough?

Should I bathe her in a flea shampoo and then do another frontline combo/wash her bedding?

Is this all just overkill?

TIA, sorry it's long!

Also, she's not been near another dog for 2 weeks as in season.

Do not bath your dog for a minimum of 48 hours either side of a dose of frontline combo it prevents it from being effective.
At this time if year I recommend using frontline combo every 4 weeks.
