How to explain castration to 3 year old DD

My dog's due to be castrated in two weeks and I'm obviously going to need to explain to DD what's going on. Any tips on how much to tell her?

Ds is older but I just told him it was a small operation which stopped him being able to make puppies with lady dogs. I expected a barrage of questions but they didn't come.

Thanks. I think it's the questions that I'm worried about. She's getting to that stage. Hopefully she'll be as uninterested as your DS Smile

My dd know's our dog keeps his baby making seeds in the bits that hang down between his hind legs and will need them taking off at some point so he can't make a lady dog have puppies, her reply was, ' since you an dad aren't having any more kids are you going to get his chopped off too?'

Grin Excellent!

Trouble is DD doesn't know about any of that yet and her dad doesn't live with us so apart from the dog having a "funny bottom" Hmm she has no experience of willies that I've ever talked to her about. I can see this getting complicated Confused
