Help! Can anyone recommend a robust dog collar for my 7 year old border terrier. My Border Collie (coming up to a year old) keeps breaking them when they play together. The last one only managed to stay on for only half an hour until I found it chewed and broken.

Take his collar off at home, perhaps?

In these situations I buy a cheap check chain, completely unchewable and very cheap. I am not an advocate of the check chain per se but if you prefer the dog to wear something indoors (rather than removing the collar which is the most logical idea) so that you have something to grab hold of then you can swop it over before you go out.

The most robust one we had was a Eze one. I can't remember what it was called, but fastened up twice, so could be better for you?

thanks for replies; I think we will just have to take collar off at home. Will look at the Eze collars look good though.
