A phantom pregnancy? Or something else?

HiSmile

My almost 2yo staffie x Dalmatian appears to be lactating...Confused

She has not been spayed yet (we have an appointment at the vets to arrange this tomorrow) and has had no male dog action... I noticed her tummy was wet when I was scratching it last night and when I looked closer the leak was from one of her nipplesConfused she has been excessively cleaning/licking at her vaginal area the last couple of days hence booking her into the vets as I am worried about infections etc having lost my lovely female dog a few years ago to an infection of the womb that took over very quickly.

Having looked into phantom preg in dogs she has alot of the symptoms but as yet has not been aggressive and no nesting behaviour...

Could this be something other than phantom preg? If it is a PP will she be able to be spayed? Anyone out there with experience of PP in dogs?

TIA

My dog has several PP's and used to 'nurse' her squeaky toys but she never had any side effects from them. She produced milk and made 'nests' around the house but that was it. No licking though.

Could be a UTI?

We had our bitch spayed at 3 years.
