injecting a westie - help

I'm hoping someone can help - my auntie got a westie last year from a local rescue place. Unfortunately he has recently been diagnosed as diabetic. She has to inject him with insulin but she is really struggling with this. She is on her own and has been taking him round to a very kind couple who has been helping her, but she hates putting them out.

Vet says he has to have the injection and can't have tablets. Is there anything we can buy to make this job easier for her?

TIA

Is she using the VetPen a much easier system for injecting than standard syringes?
Dogs are type 1 diabetics so unfortunately injections are the only option.
